Peppers SALT Resort and Spa, Kingscliff, New South Wales

This project involved the design and construction of the 5-star Peppers Resort and Spa on the northern NSW coast.

FEATURES:

  • construction of nine low-rise buildings in total
  • one building contains 41 beach house units
  • seven buildings form the Peppers Resort comprising of 305 self-contained apartments
  • one building houses the Day Spa with 16 treatment rooms
  • foundations will be constructed on sand which has been compacted to 250kpa
  • building platforms have been raised to approximately 6m above sea level
  • the floors are concrete slabs and beams supported on concrete columns
  • the external facades are rendered concrete and hebel
  • the internal unit dividing walls are hebel with metal stud and plasterboard, and
  • the roof is constructed with a mixture of structural steel and timber trusses and then cladded with colourbond metal roof sheeting.

Scope of works includes the construction of an underground carpark for all residents, conference facility, restaurant, reception and lobby area, porte cochere, extensive landscaping and numerous swimming pools.
