Zuoying Depot, Kaohsiung,Taiwan
The Rail Group in joint venture constructed the Zuoying Depot, an integral component of infrastructure for the Taiwan High Speed Rail project. The 40ha project site in Kaohsiung allows as many as five trains to be inspected and serviced at one time.
FEATURES:
- 34 buildings and structures ranging from small pump stations to a multi-storey Administration Building and Main Inspection Shop 400m long and 50m wide
- a traction substation to provide power to trains, buildings and depot facilities
- ballasted track rail sidings, rail/turnouts storage areas and signalling facilities.

- stimulate economic growth as the railway will link Taipei in the north, to Kaohsiung in the south, the two largest cities in Taiwan
