Sale of Central Plaza complex largest in Australian property history
The Central Plaza complex in Brisbane’s CBD recently sold for more than $839 million, the biggest single-asset property deal in Australia.
Laing O’Rourke is currently constructing Central Plaza Three, the final building in the three-tower complex.
The Central Plaza Two and Three towers were sold to Lend Lease’s wholesale fund APF Commercial in partnership with a foreign-based institutional investor.
When completed, Central Plaza Three, located in Queen Street, Brisbane, will provide more than 11,070m² of office space.
It will have 13 levels of office accommodation, a plaza level including mezzanine, and three levels of basement car parking.
The building is due to be completed in mid to late-2008.
