Coal Handling Plant and Stockyard Facility, Pha Lai 2 Thermal Power Plant, Vietnam
This facility was designed, supplied, erected and commissioned for Vietnam's largest coal-fired power station. At 2 x 300 MW, it will address the country's rapidly growing demand for electricity and help overcome problems caused by its currently erratic supply.
FEAUTRES:
- plant included 4 x 380t/h barge unloaders, 2 stackers, 2 reclaimers, a stacker/reclaimer, rail tippler, and 28 conveyors totalling 7km
- civil/structural work covered foundations, drainage, conveyor structures and reclaimer structures
- mechanical work comprised equipment design and selection, stockpile reclaiming machines, services
- electrical/control work included transformers, MCCs, distribution boards and a centralised control system, which is programmed to manage 17 possible transfer routes, and up to 5 different sequences of transfers at any one time.
